Happy birthday to me!
Not as funny as I think I am--couldn't get Kate to smile after she was reminded not to eat beads at the ward Christmas party.
Jack ordered me a pony!!!
Though I still had responsibilities and commitments to keep, the day was a happy one. I always feel blessed when I'm able to help another in need, talk with friends and sing Christmas hymns. Most of the time, the girls are giggling, Henry is a happy, cooing baby and Jack is a sweet, adoring husband that knows how to spoil all of us. He bought me a new little treadmill (I'm only slightly disappointed it wasn't a pony, as was my original guess) so I can run on days that I can't make it out on the road before dark. He also made a special dinner for my special day. He smoked ribs with hickory wood and fried up homemade chips to scoop up homemade dip. Not only was the food delicious, but he served it like we were at a restaurant, taking everyone's orders and quickly handing it out. Evelyn, however, didn't think it was so funny when Jack tried handing out the bill and told her she could either pay or help clean up as payment. She seriously considered cracking open her piggy bank so she wouldn't have to help wash dishes.
Washing Henry before church with Kate's help. The horses are always fun to watch, especially when they're snoozing.
Now who's ready for some cake???
